PSP + FuSa gamepad: your best SNES USB controller for RetroPie
-
Hi friends, here reporting that there is a great way to recycle a PSP with lose battery with RetroPie, what you need is FuSa, a nice homebrew PSP app wich lets you use your PSP as a gamepad and the newer ME CFW, what you need to do is download the homebrew, put it on /PSP/GAMES/ and connect your PSP via USB to the pi, enable USB charging, launch the app from your CFW and let it work
@administrators could you add PSP 1000, 2000 and 3000 to your supported gamepads section in the retrppie-setup wiki along with the instructions? As I said it works with PSP 1000 2000 and 3000, incompatible with PSP Go and street

Sounds interesting. I suspect this would add some lag as it goes thru an app on the psp. Have you tested this ?

@UDb23 I am not noticing any lag

@BuZz @herb_fargus @petrockblog what do you think? Could you add that info?

Thank you very much @herb_fargus , could you speak a little bit about the option or about the new wiki article in a short blog post? When I searched PSP as a gamepad RetroPie I allways saw only pages about the PSP emulators, there is also a Wi-Fi gamepad homebrew app but I only saw it working for Windoes, it is called wificontroller, it is a Linux one but you need a script on Linux, could you check if you can add it to a RetroPie setup option along with the option to start ot at boot? You only need to search psp wireless gamepad linux at google
