Should i buy 8bitdo NES30 Pro?

About the dongle. Yeah, Rpi3 has a build in bluetooth. But read PLENTY of posts how much it sucks and how bad it is. Made another post about trying to hook up my friends PS4 controller.

And i posted the latency that i have between Rpi3 and the PS4...sometimes 100 ms and sometimes 20 ms. You can´t play a game like that.

@djaay the rpi3 bluetooth works fine for me with two 8bitdo nes30 pro.

@djaay My link was more to emphasise you need to check you are getting a legitimate 8bitdo controller, not a knock off.

Has been said in a few reviews that 8Bitdo pads are expensive, and I think they are but they are worth it in my opinion. I have a NES Pro and an SFC30. The only gripe I have with the NES30 is that I find it a fraction too small for my hands, but my hands are quite large; the SFC30 feels much more comfortable in comparison, but the NES30 is my go-to pad every time. Never had an issue with lag or connection either.

@djaay the 8bitdo is nice. The ps3 controllers work really great for me too. No problems like the ps4 controllers. I prefer the ps3 controller over the 8bitdo because the analog sticks are better based on size. The smaller analogs on the 8bitdo controllers make them a lot more sensitive. But not a deal breaker.

The PS4 controller works fine, I think there is something wrong with your configuration? I've been using the PS4 controller since the beginning and I never had a problem with it.

I use an SNES Controller from 8bitdo. I highly recommend 8bitdo's controllers. They are great, they do not lag, and it just feels so comfortable.
So yes, I think you should.
Also, I have a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B and I have no bluetooth issues. Maybe it could be RetroPie itself.

Also, I'm not tryin' to sponsor or anything.

The 8bitdo controllers are nice, and provided you follow all the installation instructions and update the firmware on the controller it'll work really well.

My other retro controller is the wired iBuffalo SNES pad, - it only has one set of shoulder buttons and no sticks but it's plug and play and works well.

I like the option of a bluetooth controller because I also run an Amiga emulator and wanted to have a second wired controller, mouse, keyboard and USB stick using up the ports.
