I noticed that even with the correct roms that mame2014 and mame2016 seem very slow. Is this the emulator that is slow on the retropie or is it the rom itself that may be the issue. I have decent speeds with all other froms of mame just not these. Just wondering if this s why they are considered experimental? If it is the emulator and not the pi itself, thanks

@rridenour yes, they are more accurate which means more processing that the pi doesn't have. Mame2003 is the recommended Mame for a pi 2 and 3 mame4all for a pi 1 and 0

Makes sense I thought there was something going on that was not the rom's fault but the emulator needing more than the pi can give guess i will continue to stick with advmame and mame2003 thanks
