Show / Hide Frame Rate in Retropie GUI
-
Hi,
This is a bit silly :/ But i've turned on showing the frame rate overlay in pink, in the Retropie UI.
I can't for the life of me remember of find where to turn it off?
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Hi,
From within the RetroArch GUI for a specific emulator:
Main Menu > Settings > Video > Display Frame Rate (switch ON or OFF)You should be able to do this for all RetroArch / Libretro emulators in a similar manner:
- From Emulation Station, locate the RetroPie screen
- Select the 'RetroArch' option
- This should launch the RetroArch GUI, but with general / global settings rather than per emulator.
Note: a note for the RetroArch entry in the RetroPie menu states
'Changes will not be saved unless you have enabled writing to the retroarch.cfg file'.I believe that you can do this via an entry in the RetroArch menu itself:
Main Menu > Settings > Configuration > Save Configuration on Exit (set to ON)
There's a discussion regarding this on the forum here

if by 'retropie UI' you mean emulationstation:
press start for the menu: UI settings > show framerate > off -
@dankcushions [edit] - seems I misread the original post, and though it was talking about the RetroArch UI. The mention of pink text did strike me as odd, but I assumed the poster had customised the colours.
The RetroArch UI Framerate option displays the values in a manner that is far less intrusive!

@RetroResolution the emulation station framerate display is only active within emulationstation itself.

@dankcushions ah, fair enough. not sure why it would be used, but nice to know it's there

Hi guys new in here
So I've downloaded retropie4 and now all my mame Roms run to fast
How do you slow the framerate down
Any ideas and suggestionsTHANKS

@ianm1973 hi,
I don't know why your mame ROMs would be running too fast, but, assuming you are using a libretrto mame core, you can check the actual frame rate from within the rgui menu (please see above for details on accessing the frame-rate option).
