16:9 Vertical Monitor - Marquee and Bezel Overlay?
-
Hi there,
Just curious if there is a thread or tutorial that may touch on custom overlays that would allow me to have a vertically oriented 16:9 screen, with a dynamic marquee and overlay that changes with the game? If that makes sense...
I realize I would likely have to create the art myself combing a bezel and marquee, but haven't seen any projects that delve into the details of a custom overlay like that.
Anyone able to point me in the right direction? It would be much appreciated... thanks in advance.

@morpie We created a Repo for custom overlays @1080P.
They are made for standard (horizontal) 16:9 screens.
As long as you use Libretro cores (emulators) they all support "per game" overlays and also "generic" if needed.
In the Thread and Repo you'll find all the info on how to do it; if you have graphics editing capabilities (bitmap and/or vector) it should not be difficult to create your own based on the art in the Repo.
Retroarch/Libretro do not have a distinction for marquee and bezel so you just need to create an overlay that includes both and tell the specific retroarch core the desired game area size and position. -

Many thanks for the suggested link. I will comb over it today as it just started to pour rain and need something to keep busy. Much appreciated.
