      Hi guys,

i am new and i get the following error when i connect on my Pi over web:

      http://192.168.1.74:8000/systems/roms/psx/

i wanted to upload a psx game and get the following error:
"This system requires one or more bios file that are missing from your installation:
      SCPH1001.BIN, scph5500.bin, scph5501.bin, scph5502.bin"

The system says, the files are there:

      alt text

      Someone have an idea?

      Thank you very much :)
      Best wishes,
      Jan

@Freymuth needs to be in capitals: https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Playstation-1#bios

          Yeah, i know.

And i know it is not allowed to ask but where can i get these files!? O.o

If i look on github there is only a complete .zip with mysterious file endings in there :D

@Freymuth well, it's not allowed :) you probably have the right files, you just need to rename them

@dankcushions Sorry for probably sounding a bit thick. How do you access these files to rename them? Cannot find them anywhere on the Pi

                @danayc
@dankcushions is incorrect and is going by the wiki. The bios does not need to be in caps. SCPH1001.BIN or scph1001.bin will work. I'm using scph7502.bin. Stick bios in bios folder according to the wiki (they got that part right:P). Try using an sftp client to transfer.

@Darksavior may depend on the emulator. Haven't tested much myself but it's worth looking into for a final word on the wiki

@Darksavior are you talking about pcsx-rearmed or lr-pcsx-rearmed? I know it doesnt matter on the standalone but im pretty positive the libretro version requires it to be in caps. Unless something has changed.

@herb_fargus @edmaul69 Sorry, I mean the Libretro version. Caps doesn't seem to matter. Also, any ps1 bios seems to work, not just "SCPH1001" according to the wiki. There's also been unverified rumors that 7502 seems to work better, though I haven't seen a difference.

this is true! this must have changed recently.

yes this is known. 1001 is just the standard USA bios from the launch model. other bioses are valid, and may even be required if you are using PAL games etc.

I don't know if this helps, but the last few times i had the bios files missing i just copied them from my usb using the file manager and copied them straight to the directory where the bios files should be put into which would be "/home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS .

@Darksavior Where can I get the BIOS from? I've checked online and had a few of them put won't upload via the retropie manager?

@danayc Google it. Takes less time to do that than what you typed just now...
I've never used that retropie manager, I use an sftp client to transfer everything.

@Darksavior Apologies, all sorted now. Problem I was having was accessing the Pi via SFTP with my laptop to fix this. Thanks for the support though!
