@Spottedfeather I don't understand this question. You've got a NES classic you've installed Arcade games on, but you're asking in the RetroPie forum why they're not working?

Have you hacked a Pi into a NES classic or something? We could do with some more info as to your setup, could you please provide it as per the link here: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

He's posted the same question all over the internet in hopes of a reply. I've seen him at atariage.com and gbatemp.net. I thought it was a bit excessive to see him posting at theperfectpancake.com, but I guess he's just covering all his bases.

@rbaker that doesn't have anything to do with what I asked. But thanks anyway.

@markyh444 No, it's just a regular NES Classic. I'm asking as many places as I can think of to widen my chances of getting help. Is it not possible to play four player games on an NES Classic ? The NES Classic is running mame 0.78, if that makes any difference. I can set up the controls to show 4 players, but I still can't choose any character other than the first character....which isn't so bad in The Simpsons game, as Marge is the first character and she's the one I use anyway.

But in the TMNT arcade game, I normally play Donatello...who just happens to be player number 4.

Sure it does. You got a question with the NES Classic and you posted it in a retropie forum?!?!?!? Just pointing you in the right direction for support with your device :)

@Spottedfeather Also, a regular NES classic doesn't run any MAME romsets as it's just a NES emulator. Either it's a hacked one you've bought, or something else entirely. Or, I've trip-trapped over your bridge and I'm being trolled like a good-un.

@markyh444 @rbaker You're a bit out of touch. The NES classic can run RetroArch. :)
@Spottedfeather If you use the 2 player versions of Simpsons and TMNT you can select your character.

Regardless, this isn't the RetroArch support forum.

@windale not out of touch mate, but this isn't the NES classic hacking forum. And I did ask if it was a hacked NES classic.

Also as @caver01 says, this isn't a Retroarch forum either. How am I meant to know an overpriced Nintendo I've not seen in person can run Retroarch?

@markyh444 Clearly you had no idea what he was talking about from the replies you made (hence out of touch) and it doesn't hurt to give him an answer.

@windale I agree, I did have no idea what he was on about and I asked him.

                              Still not a RetroPie issue.

I've been here for over a year now and I'm still waiting on someone to tell me where I can purchase a hubcap for a '72 Pinto hatchback. If I have to talk about this RetroPie thing much longer, I'm gonna have to start trying my luck over at the Frito-Lay forums.

                                        It's likely related to this:

@Spottedfeather also it appears the coin button doesnt work in lr-mame2003. It works in lr-mame2010 and lr-mame4all. Mame4all is an older romset. however, the .78 romset version works in lr-mame4all. There are a few mame2003 games with this issue. Tapper is another one where the coin doesnt work in mame2003.

It's really the list of games involved here that had me switch over to advmame. It has it's own issues as well and @dankcushions has done an absolute miraculous job squeezing blood from a stone in lr-mame2003, but I'm finding the most recent versions of advmame to be a nice fit for me personally.
