Did you try downgrading Bluetooth from 1.1 to 1.0?

In case you didn't here is what you need to type in the terminal:

      wget http://archive.raspberrypi.org/debian/pool/main/p/pi-bluetooth/pi-bluetooth_0.1.0_armhf.deb
      sudo dpkg -i pi-bluetooth_0.1.0_armhf.deb
      sudo reboot

      Don't sweat it.

No but I'll try it. I get an error though.

dpkg: error processing archive pi-bluetooth_0.1.0_armhf.deb (--install):
cannot access archive: No such file or directory
        Errors were encountered while processing:
        pi-bluetooth_0.1.0_armhf.deb

The upgrade updates the on-board Bluetooth to 1.1 and that breaks in RetroPie.

It worked for me using SSH... Maybe try it in SSH?

              @RetroPieNerd

That's what I'm in, SSH on my machine. Not working for me.

Well no wonder it can't be found, you forgot the

                  wget http://archive.raspberrypi.org/debian/pool/main/p/pi-bluetooth/pi-bluetooth_0.1.0_armhf.deb

                  part, mang.

Thanks though, ran it, rebooted, testing now.

                    Works perfectly.

Bluetooth starts on boot again. As soon as it rebooted I plugged in the PS3 controller and unplugged it, instant sync.

                        No need to downgrade anymore....

You just need to install raspberrypi-sys-mods

                        sudo apt-get install raspberrypi-sys-mods
