Hey guys, I have a full sized RetroPie setup with RP3B and it all works great. I have a full woodshop and want to build some small scale model arcade boxes to give as gifts. I want to build them for people's desks, with the look of a standard standing arcade cabinet but a small joystick and 6 buttons large enough to actually play the games, but no bigger than they have to be. I'll scale the display and rest of the cabinet based on the controls I can come up with.

Does anyone have a source for such a control set? The full size controls available more readily would be at least twice as large as I'm wanting to use.

    Thank you!
    Adam

@adam12hicks here is a joystick that uses very little space. Sanwa makes several size diameter buttons. You can get pretty small buttons If you need them smaller than standard diameter size. There are some sanwa clones of the tiny buttons as well

@adam12hicks have a look for 5 way navigation switches. They range from tiny surface mount switches all the way up to large industrial switches. How small are you thinking?

Thank you for the replies! I'll take a look at these. I'm thinking the entire console be around 12" High and 3-4" wide but resemble a standing arcade machine.

sounds good!! i found this one, it seems to be pretty small, but i cant actually find proper dimensions for it. The screws are supposed to be M2.5, so that would scale it all to be pretty diddy
