ZX Spectrum Next

As the ZX Spectrum turned 35 a couple of days ago, this seems timely:

It also has some expansion capabilities based on a Pi Zero.
I'm intrigued by it, given that the ZX Spectrum was my first computer, but at this day and age I am unsure about spending so much money on it. Even though my large old tape collection would love it (need to find a working tape recorder though), I'm not sure it'd be an easy sell, budget-wise, at home. Still trying to get the approval for a proper arcade cabinet to go through :P
Anyways, thought it'd be interesting for the community.

@pjft looks pretty cool. One of these years i will install the zx spectrum and try it out. Not sure why i havent yet...

@edmaul69 If you were not an original ZX Spectrum user at the time, I'd find it a bit hard to get into, I'll be honest. Even with nostalgia, some of the games haven't aged that well.
Still, if you do, I'm happy to suggest or recommend some games. It was a wonderful system for the time, and great for tinkering and start programming in.

I think there are a whole generation of programmers in the UK who owe their career to the Sinclair ZX Spectrum.
Although in real terms, the ZX Spectrum Next is a lot cheaper than the original, like @pjft I'm not sure I can justify shelling out £175 on one.
On the other hand, if this retro-hobby has taught me one thing, it's that forgiveness is whole lot easier to obtain than permission!

@pjft aging doesnt bother me. I just love playing old school games. Sure i could play arcade versions of games, but i like playing the games in all kind of forms.
