      Hi thanks for the replies.
It's actually at the configure input screen where nothing happens.
I loaded another image and upon boot could see a USB device not supported error. So pretty sure the keyboards are my issue.

Just need to grab a cheap USB keyboard to test. Will keep let you know how I get on.

      Thanks again
      Nick

Make sure you have sufficient power for the RPI also if using USB devices.

OK so after a new Power supply 5V 2A i am still in the same situation
Actual error I am receiving is -
device not accepting address 4 ( when booting to Raspbian to test)

I have tried 3 Keyboards - and 2 Joypads on the Retropie menu all not recognized.
I have also tried a few USB cables I had read the cable could be at fault.

Next step is to try a different Micro USB to USB lead ....

How do you boot into Raspbian? Doesn't that need some sort of input from you? Is there really NO inputdevice what so ever that your PiZero accepts input from? If that is so: I'd check my micro-USB to USB cable like you said....

It boots to a load/install image screen with no input, TBH I only tried that as I thought my RetroPie install may have been at fault my end.
Yep no USB device is recognized, so when I get home I shall try another micro USB adapter .... Fingers crossed :)

Any chance you can snap a pic of your screen and post it? I am not sure what screen you're referring to but it might help in the troubleshooting. I am guessing since you have no keyboard you can't grab logs and I don't think it has Wifi by default?

I can grab a picture of the Raspbian boot error message this eve, strangely Retropie gives no error message on boot but still no USB device is recognized.

Confusing me a tad, but joys of these little projects.

Apologies , I cannot grab any log files as no Keyboard and no Wifi as yet.
                    Thanks

Ok finally she recognized the Keyboard :)
The issue was the Micro USB to USB adapter.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I can now move on with this project.
