      First post from a new retropie user. I researched on the site and didn't see any related posts. I have the latest version of retropie installed on my first PI 3. I am looking for any advice on setting up a NES advantage joystick. I have NES controller adapters which work fine with the PI and regular NES controllers. I tried setting up the joystick, it doesn't seem to work much unless I switch the player 1/2 switch and then it will recognize the joystick for a couple seconds. Any advice would be appreciated.

      Thanks!

        In the read-me-first post there is a instruction saying "RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest)", I'm assuming 4.2, but you should be specific.

        Also, please provide a link for the specs of the joystick you are having problems.

          @skateordie also what adapters are you using? Some dont support the nes advantage. Also if you havent tried, turn the knobs all the way down, turn off both rapid fires and turn off slow mo switch. Some adapters have issues with the rapid fire/slow-mo circuitry.

              @edmaul69 I am using:
              Tomee NES to PC USB Retro Controller Adapter Converter - PC Mac Linux

              I have two of them, I tried having both used for the joystick plugs, and tried with one adapter for the player 1 plug. Thanks for the tip, I will give it a try👍
