      i just started a fresh install and used this to try to enable ssh. After i enable i reboot and i get connection timed out. Anyone have any clue what i'm doing wrong?

        @jimblazin Are your raspberry and the pc you use to connect on the same network? Any firewall settings preventing connection?

        System: Raspberry 3 Model B, RetroPie 4.2.1
        Storage: 16gb Micro SD, 64gb USB Drive
        Theme: Updated NBBA

          same network, i put in my OSMC sd card and was able to ssh in with no issues at all

            Check if ssh is running by typing ps -ef | grep sshdon the RPi.

              if you get connected timed out, it's likely because the RPI is not correctly connecting to the network, or you are using the wrong ip, or some firewall issue.

              If SSH isn't running, but you can reach the RPI, you would get a connection refused.

                honestly a few hours after posting i reinstalled and it worked, didn't do anything different other than the program i used to format my SD card. anyway thanks everyone who commented
