What games are you playing this week? 2017-05-15
-
I'm running through Zelda: LTTP on SNES for the hundredth time (it seems). It's a game I always seem to revisit every 5-10 years. I still can't keep track of all the heart piece locations and some of the items, so it's like a challenge to remember it all each time. :)
-
Trying to convince the GF to play 2 player but she'd rather play Seven Days to Die
I really enjoy the PC version of 7 Day to Die co-op but I'll have to try Zombie Near co-op!
-
Neverwinter Nights: Hoards of the Underdark... really would have loved to see another campaign quest like this one. The world in this game is so immersive, I don't think it will ever be matched, and I'll probably go back to it forever.
-
Super mario omega (a super mario world hack)
-
Try to get a good deal on eBay (OS X) has been a real pain this week.
I'm still playing through Mother (GBA fan translation). Even with the Easy Ring it's still pretty grind heavy, but the humor makes up for it.
Megaman X4 (PSX) is fun. It's the first Playstation Megaman game I've tried, and while it has a load of dialogue, it's still got that classic Capcom feel to it.
-
I just started messing with the Metal Slug series on Neo Geo and now Arcade thanks to some members on here.

Super mario omega (a super mario world hack)
Hi, is it worth trying?
-
Yeah! They changed the music and it is all out a good super mario hack that looks like mario 3 with super mario world mechanics
-
I think I'm going to give Pokemon another try. I've tried repeatedly in the past, and just couldn't get into it, but Pokemon Blue (GB) is going to be my lunch time game for the week.
-
Let’s get the most obvious one out of the way: the core of Pokémon is about wild animals being enslaved and then pitted against each other in violent combat for both fun and profit.

I think this is what always bugged me the most about Pokemon.

@lilbud There's also a whole lot of this:
if you don't immediately develop a desire to collect critters and battle them against one another, there's not a whole lot to drive you forward. It's why I've never been able to stay interested in these games.

@obsidianspider once again
-
I'm still trying to beat Pop'n Twinbee on SNES (EU NTSC hack)...
Oh ya, that and Dr. Mario with the wife... still... every night... for like 20 rounds a night... for like 6 months now...
-
@Capeman show the RetroAchievements feature to her. There are cheevos for Dr. Mario: http://retroachievements.org/Game/1469 . Maybe she can find a challenging one.
;-)
-
@meleu Some are pretty challenging, yes.
That's why my wife is the one who unlock Dr Mario cheevos, she's an expert :) -
Crazy how much wives love Dr. Mario, haha. I haven't played around with retro achievements yet, sounds fun!

I have always found that wives have a certain predisposition to hypochondria. Should be that.
