What would make RetroPie a good games console is if it had the feature to add a game boot once it starts loading like the PSP had. This is similar to the 'loading splashscreen' images. When the runcommand script starts running, the game boot runs.

While this may sound good on paper, there is a slight issue with this and that while it loads, it may actually finish loading before the Game Boot does, and that could ruin the opening of a video game. So what could happen is that when the Game boot finishes, the game starts running. Or even cooler, a Game Boot for each system rather than just one. I don't know, this idea sounds pretty cool and i'd love to see it implemented on RetroPie.

@Allanbuzzy with the onstart scripts you can have it call whatever you like before a game starts. Including videos if you so desire

Does it possibly effect the opening of a game?
