I am playing (trying to) "Snatcher" for the Sega CD. When I get to the abandoned factory* in Act 1, the bgm and the animations load instantly, but it takes over 2 minutes for the text to load followed by another 2+ minutes to gain control over the game. Snatcher is one of my favorite games, and I really want help. I think it's a problem with the emulators and I request that a core based on kega fusion should be added. If that isn't possible, could someone help me fix the iso?

*second time it happened was during spoilers entering the nielsen apartment.

@NovaTheMighty Which emulator? If the one you're using is causing a problem, why not try the other one? There's also some system core settings you might be able to mess with. I haven't tried the game yet, but it's on my list of games to play.

Is your copy of the game an iso/cue with mp3s? If so, finding a bin/cue rip should fix this. Some people from JunkerHQ have discussed it here.

@mediamogul I actually read that forum and I have tried multiple rips, but none of them seem to work. I know you can't post links to roms, but could someone give me the name of the site with a working rip?

Simply naming ROM sites is against the rules. Have you specifically tried the bin/cue format?

@mediamogul Okay. Thanks for letting me know about the rules. I just joined today, so I am getting used to everything. It looks like I can change the cue sheet. I'll have to try that and see if it works. But in the meantime, could anybody give me some info that might help?

Unfortunately, there have always been emulation issues regarding this game. Before 2004 it was completely unplayable on any emulator past the abandoned factory. It might help to raise this issue over at the libretro forums, as they're more likely to have insight into the nuts and bolts of this.
