      Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations for alternatives (if there are any of course), to the Mayflash Bluetooth adaptor for the Wii U Pro controllers?

I believe the Wii U Pro to be arguably the best controller for retro gaming on the Pi, but I'm getting a bit fed up of the random button input issue that is plaguing Emulation Station. I do have a Mayflash adaptor which I know does resolve this, but... and I'm being fussy here... it's not the most aesthetically pleasing device to have hanging off your Pi! :D So I was wondering if there were any decent, more compact/smaller alternatives to the Mayflash, or is that the only one that really works with the Wii U Pro?

      Thanks a lot!

        Hi,
I use a LogiLink BT0015 USB bluetooth adapter. It's small and works perfectly with the Wii U Pro controller.

That's perfect, just the kind of thing I was looking for, thanks @jwcbronski !

Maybe a dumb question, but do I need two adaptors if I have two controllers? Or does one suffice?

@sonicsheppard As it's a bluetooth adapter, you should only need one.

Mine arrived today and I've been using it for a few hours now and it's looking a lot better.

I disabled the on-board Bluetooth using dtoverlay=pi3-disable-bt and then repaired my controllers with the USB Bluetooth dongle plugged in.

I've not had any random ES button input since, even when using an ES theme with video playback (which seemed to compound the issue for some reason). So thanks for the suggestion!

Yeah I got mine as well and besides no random button presses, the controllers are also much more responsive, which made me forget about really needing wired controllers for certain games!
