Manual installation of emulator (DraStic)
-
I'm running RetroPie on a rPi 3. I've only had it for about a week now, and my job keeps me busy, so I haven't had too much time to work with it yet. I don't own it wired keyboard, and my wireless keyboards are not supported. My only means of command line interface is by using SSH through putty on my Windows PC.
I was very excited to hear about how great DS emulation is on retropie now, but then very sad to hear that the creator of drastic did not want his software being used on the retropie just yet. Is there a way to still install it? Or am I forced to wait until the creator releases a version he's happy with?

@dflores000 unnoficial way to install it (note: check the advice in the post below!):
curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/c522c722b6753b1908d7f5fa00b4bc1e105e514a/scriptmodules/emulators/drastic.sh -o ~/RetroPie-Setup/scriptmodules/emulators/drastic.sh sudo ~/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.sh
And then go to the experimental packages and install it.

@meleu Note - This will cause issues if/when we introduce it again and people update retropie-setup - due to pre-existing file. As this is supposed to be a closed beta (as we found out), we should probably wait to see the wishes of the author before helping people to install it.

@BuZz Good point. I added an alert in my previous post.

How would one go about reversing the curl command above making it possible to update the retropie setup script?
Thanks

rm ~/RetroPie-Setup/scriptmodules/emulators/drastic.sh

@meleu that did the job. Thanks
