PE IGT ROMs issue
-
Hi,
I have Player's Edge IGT ROMs that work fine on Windows MAME, was hoping to move to Retropie.
When I select a ROM it just goes back to the menu. Trial and error I got a log file:pi@raspberrypi:/dev/shm $ cat runcommand.log
Parameters:
Executing: /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch -L /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-imame4all/mame2000_libretro.so --config /opt/retropie/configs/mame-mame4all/retroarch.cfg "pexm006pa" --verbose --appendconfig /dev/shm/retroarch.cfg

mame4all (mame2000) is from... 2000, and mame2003 is from... 2003 :)
you can't just copy and paste random mame roms into folders - they need to be from the romset for the emulator you are using. you need to have a look at the emulators available on retropie and their respective romsets here, and see which, if any, have this game. i would guess only the later mame cores (mame2010/2014/2016) would stand a chance.

Ok, I see what you mean. thank you.
Finding a ROM set with the IGT roms still in it is going to be next to impossible.
They work fine on the Windows version, so I should probably look for some sort of battery powered DOS machine?
