@N.A.R.E.K.96 You should consult with your internet service provider. Assuming that you have a modem connected to your telephone line and then a router with ethernet ports on, if you connect one to your raspberry pi you will have an internet connection. In my experience there is no configuration to be done. The problem is that no other information is provided by you according to this request:

it should be automatic, so check if your router is setup for DHCP. If its set for DHCP then it should all be automatic, if it isnt set for that then you will need to set a manual ip address for the Pi.

@rbaker unfortunatly my internet service provider has no idea about retropie or raspberry pi but I want to say that I am not using modem it is just a cabel that is coming from their center that is near my house.

And why would they? My suggestion was based on the fact that you appear to have no internet to your house.

If you plug that cable into another computer, does the Internet work?
-
@obsidianspider yes it is working fine and as I can see they just turned off DHCP so I will not connect anything without their permission because they are asking extra for extra devices

almost seems like they have it locked down by the MAC addresses so then they can control and force you to pay.... sadly
-
Wow, so you don't have an actual router, you're just plugging directly into the wall with each device? Can your "device" be a router with a built-in switch that's doing its own internal DHCP? My ISP provides me with a modem, and it's up to me what I plug into it.
-
@ExarKunIv I will call them and force to turn everything on.The same thing had happened when I upgraded my pc and had to call them
-
@obsidianspider I have ethernet switch and my pc has internet while pi is showing connection errors
-
Today I called to my internet provider and they said that thay activated everything but still when I am trying to install kodi I see connection errors .They said I should set up my pi and they have no idea how to help me
-
if they opened everything then all you need to do is have the pi connected to Ethernet when you turn it on. everything else for it would be done automatically.
you said that you have a switch that everything is plug into... are there lights on the port that the pi is connected to.?
-
you shoudl determine if your normal PC uses DHCP or FIXED ip. If DHCP then plug the pi into the ethernet switch and turn it on, if fixed ip then you may need to call them up and request an ip to set it to manually.
-
@ExarKunIv yes the light is on and on pi ethernet lights are blinking too

@spruce_m00se the problem is that that they dont want to cooperate with me,they simply answer that I should do everything by myself they just have no idea about anything except putting wires and dropping the phone all the time when you call them about internet troubles or shouting when you ask questions .Probably I should find another provider with better service
-
you should probably find one that supplies a fibre or asdl line to a modem in your house and lets you manage the connection. I have never heard of one that doesnt do that before though, so maybe you are doing something wrong ?
-
@spruce_m00se no they just think that if they leave everything yo the users they will start <<stealing>> internet like cabel tv in old good times or at least this is what they said
