N64 portable
-
@Charononus Yikes! Well I need to find the power consuption of the pi3 while overclocked and running super mario 64 then.
-
@Charononus The battery might work... maybe. Adafruit have a 2500 AH battery. If it is small enough by some magical thing, I might be able to use two. Or three. One for each handle. Since the n64 remote is made for three handed aliens.

Considering a Pi3 hardly runs N64, I'm not sure you are going to get very far with this. Sure, it can be made but it wouldn't be very practical if the games are hardly playable.
-
@LiveFastCyYoung It is sadly true. But honestly, it is an experiment I may try in a few years. But then again, I'll have a new pi in a few years! :D
-
Smash Bros runs OK on the Pi 3 without overclocking. Its not perfect - it stutters and drops some frames - but its playable.
-
Same as super mario 64. @BenMcLean

There are plenty of retropie portables out there that can run n64. Here's mine: http://m.imgur.com/a/ShMDE
You will not be able to power it through hdmi...

Hopefully you can find a way to get it to run cool enough to not need active cooling because that will be yet another battery drain.
If you find away to get it going post back. I'd love to see it. I'd actually love a handheld that could run everything the pi3 does. I just can't see it being very feasible either.
"Whats that in your backpack sir?" ... Retrogamer: "Oh... thats just a car battery I'm using to power up my handheld device". lol.
@CodeDrawer Just go to YouTube and search for N64 portable, there are already people who did it. I've seen some cool ones.
-
@PetroRie K I will laster
-
@CodeDrawer Wait wait, there is hope. If you can make one which has a "portable" size it would be awesome. The ones I saw are big and bulky.
-
I could just use a controller for that with a slideing screen I guess...
