@fulton1 I'm on phone, so can't link. But search for raspberry pi edid dump and you will find how to do it.
-
Looks REALLY complex, i think ill just try and send it back for my money back.
-
@fulton1 welcome to Linux my friend ;) you're either neurotic like me and will spend weeks on a seemingly simple problem and be ecstatic when you finally figure it out or you'll just buy something known to be supported in the first place and save yourself the headache ;)
I find the problem solving to be rewarding as that's what the pi is all about but sometimes it can understandably be frustrating

What will i do about the config.txt? since ive done all kinds of crazy shit to mine.
-
@fulton1 Sometimes the best way to “cut the Gordian knot” is with a sword. In other words, redo your sd card with a fresh copy.
-
@glennlake ah shit, i have so many games, btw can you tell me where to get more roms? and any links to a guide to a fresh install/ tips? i think im gonna buy a new pi 3 and put it in the playstation 1 case :)

ah crap sorry, ill have a look at the tut, thanks everyone for your help! It is much appreciated

@fulton1 First.. Like the boss says, read the rules. I have crazy idea but I think it may work. Take a second sd card and put a fresh RetroPie on it. Then copy the config.txt from the new build to the old sd card. If it works your in, if not your in the same boat, nuke and pave. :-(

@glennlake Isnt there like a fresh config.txt i can download?
-
@fulton1 Don't give me any credit for this. I hope this works for you. "https://www.reddit.com/r/RetroPie/comments/2shkdt/configtxt/"
