I have some Spectrum Roms installed but cant get them to work with a controller when they start with an option that asks 1 Keyboard or 2 Kempston Joystick.

I have a button on my controller that brings up an emulated keyboard that I can scroll across but I cant find a button that allows me to select a key so I can never select option 2 Kempston Joystick.

Is there a way to select a key or someway to make a joystick the default?

I cant find any link or video that deals with this problem.

@garry1540 You need to edit the lr-fuse Retroarch config file. More info at the docs: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/ZX-Spectrum/

You should be able to select the key with the "circle" button, if I recall correctly. There is definitely one of the main 4 buttons that selects the key.

"Select" is the button that pops up the keyboard.
