      Hi ive got a rasp pi 3 to boot from usb it loads retropie from the usb but it says no gamepads detected. my ds4 and keyboard worked when booting from sd card any ideas? thanks

        @priest282 what is the amps on your power supply? What is your usb device? If the usb device and pi are using too much power then your controllers might not recognize.

          power adapter is max 2.4amp and its a sandisk 64gb micro usb drive. and dont get the square colour thing either saying its low power. my guess its cos its running off usb its not looking at the other usbs for input or something?

            @priest282 it wouldnt matter. Try swapping your controller and thumb drive changing the boot order.

              @priest282 also 2.5a is the specification for a pi 3

              WHAT ARE THE POWER REQUIREMENTS?

              Raspberry Pi 3 Model B

              Recommended PSU current capacity 2.5A

              Maximum total USB peripheral current draw 1.2A
