Ah, I see what you mean. That's easy to answer, it looks like this:

        Hahaha....awesome!
Boy this theme is gonna be great.
Regarding the custom loading screen per game, never mind. Found it in the wiki.

Boy this theme is gonna be great. My wife left for a 1 week trip today and I have all the time in the world to set this up. That if this will be released within 1 week.

I certainly hope to have it released within a week, just trying to get everything sorted so everything needed is available at the same time. Currently compressing the marquees/launch screens with pngoo as that dramatically improves file size which is important with this many files (as an example the marquess went from 714MB down to 254MB which is a big difference.

Sorry for not answering you question about the launch images, I realised just after I posted the last message and was just about to reply with instructions but I see you found the wiki article anyway.

No worries, I always like to ask first and search later which is a stupid habit of mine.
Keep up the good work and no rush, well only a bit maybe. ;-)
            This is so exciting....

I know you are probably still working on this theme but i was curious to know if you could find all marquees for CPS.
I have a total of 77 CPS (CPS I-III) roms and when I scrape them there are some marquees missing. Probably not available.

I have most of them but there are a few missing (mainly Japaneses quiz games and mahjong games).
Tell me what Capcom marques you have missing and I can check if I have them?

I have 77 CPS games and only 160 images, marquees and videos total so I am 71 of something short.
Let me check once what exactly is missing and I'll let you know.

You are gonna include those marquees of yours with that white, grey, black border right?

Urrggghh FUCK ME THIS IS A GREAT THREAD. Can't believe I have only just found it now. @ruckage your NeoGeo theme looks AWESOME man I can't wait for you to release it. I don't mind at all that it's only NeoGeo and CPS systems, I'll make Pi builds dedicated to this!

NeoGeo is my absolute favourite, I just recently got my hands on a working 1 slot motherboard and have a 4 slot im trying to bring back from the dead. Also sourced an original NeoGeo red cab to put them in!

Again, freaking awesome work man. Just 10/10 all around.

When it's ready. I made a mistake when batch processing the marquees so I need to re-do them (working on it now).

my main concerns are that its a stand-alone neo-geo only theme and the cps stuff can be omitted and that its 4:3 compatible, and the help section doesnt seem to match the neo-geo arcade button setup, but rather a omage to the arcade but the visuals look like that of a joypad configuration, as the cabinet has only 4 buttons that are individually colored, a 1p start, 2p start and a game select button, i have mapped the game select button to "esc" to leave emulator and return to game list, 1p/2p start are white as they should be and start the games after coins are added or coin cheater buttons are pressed

hey @ruckage could you release a 720p/1080p 4:3 version of your neo-geo inrto video? it is superb but again not really for 4:3 monitors... im infusing new and old, yes raspberry pi, yes LCD but keeping it 4:3 for a more natural feel, wheras 16:9 is kind of useless, the additional real estate can only be used for a glorious menu but in-game its only use is for a border overlay of sorts...

thanks for all that you do, you are some kind of demigod!

I would say let him release the theme first and then we'll see from there. Giving him more and more to do just delays the release.
Anything can be updated later, like he did with the NES-mini and Famicom-mini themes.

Woah, slow down. That's a lot of questions/requests in very short space of time. This was designed to meet my requirements for my system and as such the initial release is not going to meet your requirements, as @FlyingTomahawk said wait for the release and I can see about changes/additions from there.
I will try to breakdown some of your questions below.

is the theme setup for 4:3 or just 16:9?

It's only 16x9 (1920x1080 to be exact)at the moment as it was designed for use on my TV. It will not work at 4x3. I may add 4x3 later but that's isn't a simple task, everything has to be redesigned to work at a totally different aspect ratio.

my main concerns are that its a stand-alone neo-geo only theme and the cps stuff can be omitted

If you only add NeoGeo games it will only display a Neogeo system - same as any theme.

the help section doesnt seem to match the neo-geo arcade button setup, but rather a omage to the arcade but the visuals look like that of a joypad configuration

The theme was made for my AES build so the 'help system' reflects my arcade joystick and the Neogeo AES joystick which have all of those buttons. I have a solution planned to offer some alternative help button layouts but it won't be in the initial release.

hey @ruckage could you release a 720p/1080p 4:3 version of your neo-geo inrto video? it is superb but again not really for 4:3 monitors...

I can do that at some point, though you may just have to live with it being letter boxed for the time being.

SNES mini/Nes mini/Famicom mini theme developer.

thank you for answering all my questions, hopefully this beautiful creation will be the first of many arcade themes as there currently aren't many if at all, as for the neo-geo only as any theme issue, as with any theme for neo-geo i break down the games into categories instead of systems i.e. Action, Fighting, Arcade, Puzzle, Shooters and Sports, I remove the config option as i can access it thru the back end (ssh) with my ipad, iphone or linux lappy, it would be cool if you could have template psd files available so i could make categories from the systems buttons, anywhore... thanks for being KOOL @ruckage also i am reformatting your intro from 16:9 to 4:3, not a perfect solution, but a solution none-the-less... i have been looking for a bad ass neo-geo themed video boot, found one that was so-so, but yours rocks!
