@capeman that's awesome! Did you find the code or just stumble across the combination by accident?

I have run several roms through this game genie tool and they have all worked for me so far! My brother and I just used it for super c on nes....I have no clue how you beat that game on nes without cheats, it is crazy. Both contra and super c were designed specifically to steal quarters from parents pockets!

@tmntturtlguy I stumbled onto it by accident. When I was a kid I would sit around with pen and paper and put in/write down random codes on game genie and see what I could come up with. I discovered quite a few for various games. I should see if I still have that book in a box somewhere.

@capeman if you find your book, share your codes with the community updating the RetroArch cheats database. For example the Kirby's Adventure cheats are in this file. ;-)

I actually ran across the holy grail of Kirby's Adventure (NES) codes while experimenting, the one that lets you keep your weapon when you get hit.

Yeah sure, and my uncle works for Nintendo

I like to keep a quality retro setup in the house, my wife hates it and makes me keep it in my wood paneled man cave. Game genie is kept in the drawer out of the prying eyes of kids, i'm not teaching them to cheat til they're older.

I could pass this photo off as vintage if it wasnt for the Amiibo on the NES

@capeman Well that's leaps and bounds better than my NES/Atari setup
