      So I have kodi installed way before I tried to install retropie today. But unfortunately, the retropie was a mess and there was a lot of packages not successful so I tried to uninstall the retropie script.

      It ended up uninstalling the old kodi as well as its many system dependencies. It rendered my OS useless afterwards.

      Ubuntu 16.10
      Should be latest retropie installer
