@dd-indeed Do you mean SCPH1001.BIN? Because I tried that one too and it was the same thing. The only ones I was able to actually get it to accept were SCPH5500.BIN and SCPH5502.BIN. But even with those two, it says I am missing one or more bios that I need,

where does it say this - can you post a picture?

and when I try to drag roms in, it doesn't accept them.

same as above. how does it not accept them? a screenshot will be useful

        @njh71788

Nope, I meant 101, 1001 is the old original bios.

My soul rests, when I hear the PS1 boot music

@dankcushions I will try to post a picture later. Until then I will try to describe it better.

When connected to the pi through the browser, I click on Bios, which opens up the list of supported Bios, along with a box at the top in which you can drag and drop Bios files to add them. (There is also an orange warning around it saying that I am missing one or more Bios if I go into Roms and then PSX). When in the Bios folder, if I try to drag and drop the SCPH1000.BIN, it quickly gives me an X on the file, if I hover over that file, it says that the file is not supported.

i guess you are using something like this?

this isn't an official retropie thing so i would stop using it and choose one of the supported methods listed here: https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Transferring-Roms, with my caveat from before

                  https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Transferring-Roms#samba-shares is probably the simplest

@dankcushions I was trying to figure out how to download Samba Shares, and was watching a video on transferring roms and bios, and they said that if your raspberry pi and laptop are on the same wifi connection, you should be able to just go into your My Computer screen, and type in \RETROPIE and it will automatically connect to it and you will see 4 folders (bios, configs, roms, and splashscreens).

Is this accurate? Or do you need Samba Shares in order to make that visible?

@njh71788 I think you have to turn ssh on to see it?

you don't need SSH for samba.

@dankcushions the issue with USB rom service not copying BIOS should now be fixed. The fault also caused the script to halt, so the stick never got unmounted.

Hey buddy the way i did it which is quite easy is take the bios and put it in the USB section along with your psx games section. (I know that isnt right but bear with me).
Plug your USB in like always and wait for upload to finish after done press F4 in the emulation station window to bring up a terminal and type in the following:
                              cd home/pi/RetroPie/roms/psx/
exactly like that then type in:
                              ls
You should see the SCHP1001.BIN file or whatever in this folder near the top i think, if so type the following command:
                              mv SCPH1001.BIN /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/
that will move the file from the USB for you this should fix the issue.
If the first command isnt working follow this video from 1:20

                              Hope this helps, glhf.
