ES 4.2 RetroArch not able to properly save??

Re: Retroarch not saving any settings
I've just read this post and watched the video on how to make retroarch remember the settings you put in - basically edit the configure file yourself!
Seriously?? Are you kidding me? I have to dive into the command line and sit there finding the file for each game I want to remap keys and rename it so it will work? Why doesn't Save on Exit just do its job and save to the current config to default? Why does Save Config save a new config and provide no mechanism to have it load on future launches? I'm gobsmacked. -

Hello... So ...
1/ Please do read the "read first" section and comply to it https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first
2/ No you don't have to edit every single file by hand, save per core / game functions work just fine on my side.
3/ Nice necrobumping this thread was more than one year old.
4/ Maybe next time think about trying it by yourself and RTFM : https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/
5/ No need to put so many !!! and be passive agressive. I guess you can see by reading this laius that it's pretty annoying. We're all in here together trying to help each other so let's be nice to each others. -
@crumbs I'm getting a little tired of your attitude - I recommend you adjust it if you want to remain around here.

@aryetis, sorry the tone of my post was annoying. I'm just surprised that it's such an involved process to change the retroarch settings and have them stick. No need to use the f word.. I created a new topic and referred to the video because it was relevant. The form is for troubleshooting an individual setup, I am asking a general question and deemed that telling you all the details of my power cables, etc was irrelevant in this case.

@crumbs The thing is, per emulator / per game settings are functional. So if lr settings are not getting saved on your setup then you do have a problem and those informations might help others to better understand the situation, get rid of the usual suspects (bad power supply, etc)
