Retropie NES 50 fps
-
Hi
I told my friend to buy retropie for NES emulation. He used to play NES in 50 fps PAL mode. Is there any way to configure or to use different core (currently using fceumm) to limit the fps to 50 fps so the music and gameplay will be slower?
On my pc I can switch between 50 and 60 fps core options in Fceumm core, but I don't see such option in retropie.

I think for accuracy, you'd need the PAL ROMs.
-
What is funny and strange, is that PAL games play even faster than NTSC with sped up music
-
@cisek the solution is detailed in the documentation. https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Nintendo-Entertainment-System/

You can limit the gameplay from Retroarch settings while in game. You can either limit the fps rating or Hz rating to 50, both do the same trick.
-
Pleadse tell me how to limit fps in game. I tried all advices, but none works.
-
Well you know how to use the hotkeys during the game right ? You need to open up the Retroarch quick menu while in game.
-
@cisek Which things did you try ?
Did you rename your PAL roms according to the instructions in the documentation?
-
I renamed roms as well as tried to find it in quickmenu. I found only 50 hz option, which doesn't limit frames to 50.

@cisek Which emulator ? Perhaps you named them wrong. I tested this in the past with lr-fceumm and it worked.
-
lr-fceumm i tried to name them "xxxx (E). zip" and "xxxx(Europe).zip" and every time they play like regular ntsc.
