@tmntturtlguy Most of the games I play were made long before I was born. Turtles in Time is a fun game, but I don't recommend playing it on a keyboard/touch screen.

@tmntturtlguy said in TMNT Video Splashscreen:

@lilbud ha ha - I think i have been playing turtles in time for longer than you have been alive. I have been playing it for 26 years. I still remember when the game came out in the actual arcade and then I had to wait an entire year to get it for my birthday when it came out for SNES.

Me too, quite nice that there is such a wide age range on this forum and it's good to know that the classic games are still appreciated by people who didn't get to play them the first time around.
Until fairly recently I didn't realise there was an arcade version of 'Turtles in Time', I thought it was a SNES exclusive. I used to visit arcades regularly when I was that age - it's really strange that no one had it as the first arcade game was really popular.

Having a bit of SNES nostalgia - another great snes beat 'em up by Konami is 'Batman Returns' - I loved that game so much:

We've all managed to really derail your thread :D, I found this video earlier, you may have seen it before but thought you might be able to use it for a splashscreen. I'm really surprised there aren't better quality versions of the original tmnt intro online anywhere.

@ruckage The batman games of that era are also really good, i agree that SNES Batman returns is awesome.

The turtles in time arcade machines are very rare, they are hard to find these days, i don't think that to many of them were distributed.

As for derailing the thread - this thread is awesome so no worries - talking late 80's/90's turtles, batman, ghostbusters, transformers - couldn't think of a better topic. I found that 3D version on youtube as well and I would love to incorporate that into the splash as well. I couldn't find a free download of that version though? I don't use torrents or other file sharing sites, i typically only download videos/media that are shared on sites by the creators for free. I will have to see if i can find this video somewhere!

@ruckage CGI turtles are just a little unsettling, but not as unsettling as the "News of the World" robot

It's a lot creepier in person, believe me.

You could download the video from youtube using plugins, though that isn't really legitimate so I understand. You could always ask the creators though, they have several forms of contact shown on their channel.

Have to say though that the original 2D animation is still better.

@tmntturtlguy My brother is a big fan of the Ninja Turtles, but only the most recent Nickelodeon show. So I took the liberty of showing him the turtle rap from the 90's movie.

His reaction was beautiful, he stood about 2 min of it and then I found him balled up in a corner in the next room.

                Also, I think

                wins the creepy CGI award

That's horrendous - is that from the musical live tour thing they did?

                      @ruckage Now, I don't know if I should +1 that or -1 that.

I think it's worth a +1 just for the kids reactions in the audience :D

Yup - the most terrible thing i have ever seen - The only TMNT history that comes close to it is the live action cartoon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The Next Mutation

The oprah interview is also historic, Oprah corrupting innocent kids with turtle on girl talk!

@tmntturtlguy Why did they have to add another turtle? Whats the point in that.

Also, if you want to be scared of Ninja Turtles forever but you love Seinfield. Do I have a treat for you.
