I've been playing a lot of Contra III for SNES using my PS4 controller and I'm convinced this game was meant to be played with a joystick. It feels soo much better, and I can actually get past the first stage now.

Also been playing Dragon Ball Z: Hyper Dimension for SNES from Japan. I found an fan made English translation patch for it which applies easily, I highly recommend it if you've never played or are a fan of fighting games.

Finally, tried out Jackie Chan Stuntmaster for PSX. Never played it before but it's really fun. It's a street brawler with some platforming along the way and Jackie's voice acting and pixelated face rendered on his blocky body is priceless.

I've been playing alot of Practicing to get my learner's permit (Real-Life). I'll be playing that all week.

I couldn't hold myself, I installed steam on my Linux x86 and bought Shovel Knight only to play with my 8Bit NES30 looking at a 32" TV screen. :-)

I'm planning to start Terranigma again. I lost my previous progress because the .srm wasn't saved. But now I learned about the autosave_interval option. ;-)

@thewinterdojer Wow how on earth did I not think to look for a patch for that game? I've played it plenty of times before, but never been able to understand it ha.

To avoid a double post, I just finished Pokemon Snap for the first time ever after the newest GLide update.

I was browsing romhacking.net yesterday and found a translation patch for Makai-Mura Gaiden: The Demon Darkness. And since I loved Gargoyle's Quest on my Gameboy when I was young, I'm going to give it a shot. Also I never played the NES version, so I'm getting more of the game because the Gameboy version has 2 extra levels.

@hooperre Yea dude, it's fantastic. It's fan made of course but done very well. I used a tool called Lunar IPS, and patching is wayyy easier than I anticipated. I don't know the rules about posting translations but to be safe I won't.

So, the Walmart near me has 4 Switches in stock. I have thought I've wanted one since they were released, but I can't bring myself to spend $300, plus $90 for a dock, plus $70 for a pro controller, just to play like two games. Am I missing something?

@obsidianspider I'd say wait until the holiday season, cause there will be a few more games out by then. Like Mario Odyssey.

My friend bought a Switch and she has been disappointed with it so far, mainly the lack of games currently.

Speaking of Mario Odyssey, the title song has been stuck in my head since the reveal.
