Trying to setup retropie

Im trying to setup retropie but after the "Welcome" screen where i can set the keys im getting to the terminal. Im in the console then. What should i do now? Can I open the emulationsstation from the terminal somehow?

when im typing this then im just getting again to the welcome screen. and then again to the terminal.

@luckychicken91 without details requested on the read me first page I cannot advise short of guessing a faulty SD card, power supply, or corrupted image

if im in the terminal then im first getting a little ascii retropie message and if im typing "ls" then im getting 2 directorys: RetroPie, RetroPie-Setup
can i maybe start these things somehow? so that im getting to the normal retropie menu?its really strange.
Im definitely having the right image. Im having all the files im needing. not currupted
