No Controllers in games after update all packages

Logitech gamepad 310 USBSo i first ran into the problem when i updated the retroarch pack from source i had control in emu station and attract start a game and no controls ( USB contollers) at all no kb no js so hard restart then reset config through retropie-setup remapped and still nothing so i reinstalled from back up and everything worked fine before update then updated all packages and no controllers again Im starting to think its not even worth updating anymore the problems it seems to bring is not worth these headaches lol. Anyone else running into this ? Seems to be the RetroArch 1.6.4 update

After doing a reinstall from backup and updating everything one by one avoiding retroarch everything is working fine now so seems to be a retroarch 1.6.4 update causing the problems some others experienced the same problem on fb groups

Something worth checking.. If you use multiple controllers (I do too), the RetroArch config may be setup to use a different controller as the default. If you have a keyboard, trigger theRetroArch menu and check the sttings. If it IS set to a different controller, and you typically use the one it's not set to, change it and save it as a core override. From now on, it'll load up the override every time a game loads, and the controller you like to use will be set as the default.
