@dboy2 The configuration of the gamepad is stored in a .cfg file, which can be found at \\retropie\configs\all\retroarch-joypads. Open the file with a text editor and post the contents, surrounded by code (```) tags, in the topic.
Well I figured this out myself so thought I'd share in case someone else has the same issue.
Go to RETROPIE and open RETROARCH.
Go to settings and redo whatever buttons you need to for INPUT 1.
Go back to the main menu, into configurations then SAVE current configuration.
Job done, all works fine on SNES now.
@quicksilver It's part of the board... I tried to solder some tin because I thought it may send the signal finally but nothing actually changed...
