Hi. Hoping you can help - my SNES USB controller works fine for most of the emulators on my Pi 3b running Emulation Station/Retropie. However when running the SNES emulator some buttons don't work, like 'X'

I have tried to fix via remapping in Retroarch (https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/) but my changes don't seem to save and nothing changes + using 'select + 'X'' to get to a menu to change the settings (doesn't get me to a menu as 'X' doesn't register).

I have read through the forum but can't find a direct answer? I'd rather not have to connect my PI to a PC to solve but will if I have to. I didn't set it up so I'm not really technical at delving into other menus etc.

      Thanks
      Tharnian

Did you configure your controller in EmulationStation ?

@mitu yes I did. All the buttons registered when I set it up but after exiting and starting the SNES up, the changes didn't work.

Well I figured this out myself so thought I'd share in case someone else has the same issue.

Go to RETROPIE and open RETROARCH.

Go to settings and redo whatever buttons you need to for INPUT 1.

Go back to the main menu, into configurations then SAVE current configuration.

Job done, all works fine on SNES now.
