      Hi,
some background info first... this is a new build new micro sd C10, new usb 3.0 and new Raspberrypi 3b

Power Supply used: motorola nexus 6 pone cable, asus nexus wall plug
RetroPie Version Used: retropie 4.2 right from the retropie website May 5, 17
Built From: retropie-4.2-rpi2_rpi3.img onto a micro sd c10 card as per retro pie instructions
USB Devices connected: 1 logitech f310 game controler
      Controller used: logitech f310
Guide used: retropie website and youtube Mr Mario

I was able to insert the sd card, config my controler, log onto wifi then update the kernel... I have been update the kernal for 12+ hours and no end in sight... what can I do here and what could have caused this?

can I pull the card nd start over with a new img file
can I cut the power and start over?

@jmart78 The kernel can take a while to update but never that long. Longest has taken me is probably 30 minutes. I suggest starting again.

@AlexMurphy pull the power and remove the sd card?

after 22 hours it says the log ended, but i see all these segmentation faults.

after that, I sould have been redirected to the main retropie menu I thought...

              Sounds like a bad sdcard.
