I bought a 3rd party Bluetooth PS3 controller from Amazon by a company called Prodico. I'm having difficulty making it communicate with retropie. How do you even tell if its charged? I plugged it in a phone charger for 2 hours. There are 4 LEDs marked 1,2,3,4 on the front side of the controller. When you hit the center P3 button they all flash. Is that telling me it needs a charge? What is the proper way to connect a blutooth controller?

The controller you have bought may not work - only some 3rd party ps3 controllers work with RetroPie.

I've read all the docs pertaining to my issue. The unit will not pair up with the pi. It's made by a company called Prodico...from China. When I try to configure it in ES (while its wired to the pi....it tells me its a Shanwan device). It configures fine while wired but when I take the usb connection away it doesn't work .Is there a list of compatible controllers out there?

@stevep did you install the PS3 driver from retropie setup and choose shanwan from the configuration?

@stevep then the controller may just be incompatible I'm afraid.
