Hello Folks, im a noob to the Retropie world..learned about Raspberry Pi about a month ago..and Retropie few weeks later..i recently learned to make my own theme on AttractMode, and hope to learn about Emulationstation as well. :)

This theme i created on my own, and did the graphics using photoshop.

@fernbuilds That's a really novel way to display videos, pretty cool!

@fernbuilds All of your posts are really cool. Please confirm that they are all from attract mode? I have requested that developers for retropie ES look at adding a video feature to the system selection screen, however this is currently not possible in retropie. We can only have video in the game selection menu at this time. Hopefully in the near future we will be able to add videos to the system screens.

Nice work, i look forward to seeing what you are able to do for retropie!

@TMNTturtlguy that is what my goal was... and yes i am using Attract Mode, RoboSpin_V4, I am a fast learner..and wanted to know a way to edit ES, im sure i can find a way to add video, if i knew how to edit or had at least a clue where to begin, I have read the articles in this site, but wish there was a step by step video, showing how to edit the Main screen in ES, the one containing the emulator games image as example---> ( http://imgur.com/a/cgI6v )

@fernbuilds are you asking for information on how to edit emulationstation the program? or are you asking how to edit the themes? They are 2 different things.

How to edit themes is located in the docs: Link to Docs: Createing your own theme

@TMNTturtlguy how to edit JUST the main screen. you could say the Theme...i guess..but i am not looking into modifying the entire Theme....for example i just want to modify the menu bar where it contains all of the emulators..such as NES, SNES, SEGA, Gameboy....and so on...i DO NOT want to edit the look it gives when you select an actual emulation, for example this.. going from this---> http://imgur.com/a/eiWKC . to something like this---> http://imgur.com/a/ntG1D . on the other hand ..i DONT want to edit this part yet -----------> http://imgur.com/a/kVkar . i guess they all fall under "Theme" ....
