      I opted to download mame10. I think it is in the optional packages. It only offered to download from source. I'm into the 2nd hour now. Is this normal or could it be stuck in a loop?

        @stevep It is in optional but there is a Binary to install it. Did you update the set-up script first? Which version are you using? The latest is 4.2.3, last commit ~ 30 hours ago (c75b6e8). You can press Ctrl+C and that will stop it building and do your system no harm.

          @stevep building these emulators needs quite some time... mame2013 took me 4 hours

          System: Raspberry 3 Model B, RetroPie 4.2.1
          Storage: 16gb Micro SD, 64gb USB Drive
          Theme: Updated NBBA

            @DarkWolf yeah but there is a Binary for 2010. The other MAMES 2014 / 2016 and current can only be built from source.
