Kodi crashing after end of each show

Ever since installing Kodi via Retropie I am having the problem of Kodi shutting itself down at the end of each show or if I try and come out of
[removed]I am running the latest 17.1 Kodi, the latest
[removed]and have version 4.2.3 Retropie running. I have 300 memory going to the GPU.Games run fine, it's just this frustrating issue of Kodi shutting down and going back to the ports screen every time a show stops!
Can anyone help please!!??
