I corrected my terrible typos. I had someone ring my doorbell and accidentally hit send so it was half gibberish. Sorry haha.

That's what happens when you try and type on a phone with fingers that look like pork sausages and get distracted half way.

@rascas I'm using a Raspberry PI 3 with an official power supply. My sd card is a 16 gb SanDisk Ultra.

@rascas said in Kodi doesn't work anymore:

If you have a backup, why don't you just install the latest RetroPie version and copy over your settings/roms/etc?

I'm not sure about which directories i have to copy, because i changed different settings

@rush Which version of xbox driver are you using ? Use xpad (it comes pre-installed with RetroPie), don't use xboxdrv, it has issues atleast with Kodi.
If you still have problems, post your Kodi log:

@exonerated I have that the majority of the times I have my PS3 controller plugged in via USB. It stays stuck in a never ending black screen restart loop - both at startup and on exit.

If it's the same thing, I find that unplugging it usually helps.

@spruce_m00se I never tried the ds4drv, it can be the problem in Kodi.
Network connectivity is done in RetroPie scripts, it is system wide. I saw some people with problems in their networks and they fixed it changing DNSs. But again, only with the Kodi logs with debug on, we can know for sure.

After upgrades, I found that you need to plug in the controller for like five minutes.... Then unplug , it should vibrate and be back working, then select your kodi under ports, before you touch the controller wait till kodi comes up fully... Then try controller buttons... This should work...
