Retropie / RPi Zero Wont boot after 2 days working

Hi, my pi zero/retro pie worked great for the first 2 days, but now won't boot up. When I plug the power source into the wall, the USB adapter powers on, but the pi itself doesn't (no green light). Suggestions? Thanks

@jlauerutk You have a corrupted SD card. Re-flash the image and start again.

To expand on this a little bit. Did you ever pull the powerplug before the system received a proper shutdown command? -
@jlauerutk No worries. You made me actually remember my Zero. Just updating it now. Last logged in in February! Poor neglected child... It's most likely the card file system corrupted.

@jlauerutk Personally, I never turn my Pis off. They use pennies a week in power. I usually just drop to the command line and let them idle there. A Pi has been determined to cost around £3.50 / $5.00 a year to run if you don't have it at 100% load all the time and use it as a "normal" computer. I never switch mine off. If I get freezes I SSH in and reboot them rather than just ripping the power out.

There are many ways.
You can press start, navigate to quit, and select shutdown.
You can build a button attached to the gpio that sends a shutdown command.
You can use an addon board to send this signal and to completely shut down the power so that you don't have to pull the plug anymore.
You can ssh and sudo shutdownThe main thing is to pick a method and always do it.
