I wrote up a quick guide for getting MSU-1 modded SNES games to play on RetroPie.
-
If you would like to add some tutorials, I can think of three that I have seen in General Discussion. User David87 wrote the MT-32 emulation tutorial and I wrote the CD-I and Milton-Bradley Microvision emulation tutorials.
https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/12549/tutorial-installing-munt-mt-32-emulation-on-rpi-3/7
Topic: Adding Roland MT-32 emulation to RetroPie primarily for use in dosbox and ScummVM gameshttps://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/12553/tutorial-installing-mvem-milton-bradley-microvision-emulation-on-rpi-3/17
Topic: Installing MVEM, an emulator for the old Milton-Bradley Microvision handheld. This is the best emulator I know of, though few have been made for a system this obscure.https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/12671/tutorial-cd-i-emulation-in-retropie-via-lr-mess-warning-slowdown-especially-during-fmv-but-surprisingly-playable
Topic: This is the most competent Philips CD-I emulation I am aware of for Raspberry Pi. Admittedly, this will only be useful for Stretch users, as you need Stretch to compile lr-mess. -

I'm really amazed by the MSU-1 capabalities! I'm anxious to get home and try it out! :D
Thanks for sharing this @edale !! -

I just noted that there is something quite important missing:
- Windows Build - Automated Build of the latest version for Windows. Setup by @jdrassa

Changelog:
Removed the link to that trick to create a custom ES system able to launch games for many systems. It became outdated since "custom collections" feature was added to ES. Using custom collections is a way simpler. Info on how to do it was added to the ES wiki page and soon will reach the official docs.

@retroprogrammer There is a tutorial for Kodi in the Docs. https://retropie.org.uk/docs/KODI/

@EctoOne
Yes but here we have a detailed view of installing Webmanagers. I deeply hope that RetroPie gets a nice Browser interface once a time ;) Or a SQLite database for game scraps will be installed (In a few weeks it's XMas time)And if you like Maria
DB(h-Carey) or annother MFZH then@retroprogrammer
Thanks for sharing -
@cyperghost i never said anything about the webmanagers. I was only confused why he made a tutorial for Kodi since i'm pretty sure that it is covered in the docs for quite a while.

@zerojay I would suggest this for setup into your RetroPie-Extra collections ;) Would that be nice?
Send me a pull request.

I've seen 3 legitimate businesses be bashed on these forums by confused and uneducated members while people like this:
[Link Removed]
Go completely unchecked? This guy has made over $60,000 selling the trademarked retropie software with noncommercial emulators and openly admits he is providing thousands of illegal roms and he has been at it for OVER 7 MONTHS!
Meanwhile, I see 3 innocent businesses who distributed custom RetroPie consoles with no games, no trademark logo, no non-commercial themes and no non-commercial emulators and the entire forum got in on the hazing.
Time to stop acting like children and stop pointing fingers every way but the right direction. I even saw some of these forum members targeting a YouTube video the other day claiming someone stole the code for a PS2 emulator and got it working on a raspberry pi. First off, that is literally impossible due to the limitations of the hardware. Secondly, don't you police academy rejects have something better to do than put out false claims of illegal activity all day while you let real criminals go scott free?
You want to do something positive, go on eBay and start reporting all these a**holes actually selling roms, trademark images, non-commercial emulators, etc. But you better learn what licenses mean before you start making fake accusations.
TLDR; banned because RetroPie mods are going to censor this because they don't like being wrong. <3

@jasonbigham Retropie admins don't have power over Ebay.

@meleu just came across this topic and though that maybe you'd include my tutorial from last year so it won't get lost in time. you can give it a quick look if you have time and see if it's worth it :) https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/19274/guide-stable-windows-95-on-retropie

This thread: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/22392/lr-atari800-5200-artifacting-basic-and-other-guidance and the accompanying github repo with the script (https://github.com/raphkoster/lr-atari800-runcommand-onstart) maybe qualify?
