@jim78b Your post is not clear. I do not understand your first question but with regards to WiFi, I can confirm that it works perfectly. You have not clearly stated what your hardware is. When you say "raspberry B" are you referring to the Raspberry Pi B+? If you are then I am afraid that there is no WiFi built into this hardware. You will need an adapter to put in your usb port. You might like to post the full list requested at https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first to prevent further guesswork.

@rbaker excuse me for explain wrong. I put a wifi Key in to my raspberry b+. However can not Connect to my ruoter :( i am so disappointed about this
-
@jim78b there is a readme first link at the top of the page. Can you post all the info that the link tells you to post so we can help you better. We have no clue what you have and what you have tried to do. We cant really help otherwise.
-
@jim78b The hardware has no WiFi.
-
if you end up compiling any fun t.64 files then please let us know, I am enjoying playing some of the old c64 games i used to play before I could talk, lol.
-
@rbaker i bought a usb wifi key
-
it is very hard for me , i can not connect wifi to my router
-
@jim78b said in retropie commodore 64:
i can not connect wifi to my router
Is your router transmitting wi-fi? Does it have antennas attached to it? Is it a wif-fi router? Unless you start to provide the information as requested, any further attempt to assist is impossible.

Regarding the wifi, it may be worth a try to install a desktop OS on your Pi and try to get the wifi working through that, at least that way you will be able to do it in a graphical environment which should be easier, and you will also know that the wifi works ok. Once you know all works ok, and you have the correct details etc you can always go to a retropie image install
-
@chubsta the wifi work perfectly with desktop OS. i try all in retropie for working wifi but nothing.
i try to startx to run the os but nothing because there is no wifi. -
Can you describe exactly:
-which Raspberry Pi model do you have (it should be written on the Pi next to GPIO port)
-what steps did you take to make wifi work? -
@arkive Raspberry Pi 1 Model B
700 MHz single-core ARM1176JZF-S
i think 256 MB of ramwhen i am in retropie setup i connect to wifi and enter name of ssid and password
-
Ok, so you're using Pi 1 B, meaning you have an external "key" aka dongle/adapter for wifi. Can you check what make it is to make sure it is compatible. Also, you can try to check that it's actually functional by trying it on your PC maybe.
Then you say you "connect to wifi". Does it mean you went into Retropie > WiFI > Connect to WiFi network and saw the list of routers there? Was the name of your router listed?
-
@arkive yes adapter and work fine in OS .
And for the second reply ...Yes i did it .it is correctly i see my wifi connection -
@jim78b my ruoter is :tim-12345 i presso enter and then insert my password .
Is strange that the caps lock don t work !the led is off Even for another usb keyboard -
So...your wifi actually IS working. You just can not enter the password if I understand correctly. If it worked, you'd see "Wireless ESSID: tim-12345" above the "connect to WIFi network" option.
If this is the case, the question should be "why is my keyboard not working properly?"
-
@arkive i suppose to insert the correctly password .I try to use caps lock in the terminal by Pull f4 and it works.
-
@jim78b however don't work, for me is a problem of raspberry
