Updating all installed themes?
-
This question feels kind of silly, as I feel there's a way to do this already, but I haven't found anything. I have around 17 themes installed from the ES-Themes menu in EmulationStation. I'm wondering what is the quickest way to update them all without having to update them all one by one. Since they're not ordered alphabetically and the cursor in that menu is brought back to the top every time a theme is updated, it rapidly gets aggravating to update them this way. ;P There is a "View or Update Theme Gallery" at the top which updates all theme previews, but this function does not update the themes themselves.
If the "update all" function does not yet exist, is this something that could easily be implemented? I don't know if this is on the ES to-do list, so if it is, apologies in advance.

I think it's a fair request.
edit: I'm looking at the code and it seems simple to implement what you want. I'll try something and submit a PR.

@felleg Update your RetroPie-Setup and try esthemes again. You'll see the option to update all installed themes.

Unfortunately it seems that some themes that have been updated now seem to have some issues with emulation station 2.3.2.
For example a couple of times today I have gotten the glgeterror 0x505, while its not a white screen of death, for some themes like TronkyFran and Zoid I have noticed that when I select a system the background images wont show the image of the system but rather a white blank screen. It happened while I was over the SNES Icon and there was no SNES in the background but a white screen. Also Futura V and Futura Dark V have text misaligned if you have a big game list the text on bottom game on the list with be half showing as if it were cut in half. The Futura VL themes are alright though. -
I had similar issues recently.

Try to set VRAM to 80 and your gpu memory split to 256.
Regarding the misalignment in the Futura V and Futura dark V. Do you mean the gamelist? Or the text at the top-right?I can't uninstall themes anymore through the retropie menu, not sure that is related though.

@FlyingTomahawk My VRAM is set to 100 that was the default setting my pi came with. Also yes I mean the game list.

Can you please try to update both Futura V themes and see if it fixes the gamelist?
Futura VL and Futura dark VL are not supported anymore and have been removed from the RetroPie setup repository.
