Pi Model or other hardware: PI3 b

RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): 4.2 Converted from the original image, but all the pictures on the berryboot website have this problem.
Built From: Berryboot, Image created from the last version available on the site.
USB Devices connected: HDD 320 gb Hittachi - SD Sandisk 8GB Class4.
      Controller used: Keyboard and Dualshock3
Error messages received: Please see the video and image.
Log found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log (if relevant):
Guide used: (Mention if you followed a guide)
File: (File with issue - with FULL path)
Emulator: (Name of emulator - if applicable)
Attachment of config files: (PLEASE USE PASTEBIN.COM FOR LARGE LOGS)
How to replicate the problem: I get this message when updating via source, and sometimes it only hangs at 21%, 22%.

Have you updated the RetroPie Setup script? There was an update to address part of that recently.

Also, are you exiting EmulationStation before attempting the update from source?

By the way, there's a binary for the most recent source, so unless you have a specific reason to update from source, I'd go for binary.

        Best.

Yes, I tried all of the forms, I killed the emulationstation issue, I updated the script, and so on.
Just to keep updated, updating from the source could get the last version, right? It would be just for that. Unless doing binary via I have the same effect, in that case would not care.

              @pjft thx.

One more thing, what's the real difference between the two?

@luizoti one takes forever to build and will occasionally break, one will be stable and is quick to download.

@herb_fargus When using the "Update all Packages" is that updating from Binary?
