      Hello,

My in game saves are not working. I understand the SRAM files are created when the game is exited using the START+SELECT buttons. I have tested this on SNES, NES, and GBA emulators. I have tried reinstalling retropie from scratch, formatting the SD card. I didn't have this problem with retropie-3.0. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm using: Pi 2 and running retropie-4.2 installed on a 32GB microSD card.

      Thanks very much!!!

Ah yes sorry, as far as I can tell they are not being created. Yes I am using the Start+Select combo to exit games.

If it's the in-game save feature, then could it be possible that the folder does not have the correct CHD permissions and is not writable by the emulator? I ran into that once with a similar issue.

Oh that's interesting! I will look into. Do you remember how you resolved the issue?

Should just do select+L to save and select+R to load instead cause for nes/snes/gb/gba i have been using save states instead.

try Reset ownership/permissions of /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/ via
                    (I believe) retropie-setup > configuration/tools

Let us know what you find. Thanks for the tip @dankcushions , I did not know there was a tool for that, I just did it the old fashioned way.
