N64 - grey window?

Hey all, first post here!
When playing an N64 title (in this case, WWF No Mercy), I get a small grey box at the top right of the screen. It looks to be the grey startup box that displays when a game is booting up, but a slice of it is pushed to the top of the screen as the game runs.
Its works beautifully otherwise, so is there anything I can do to get rid of this?

Yep, I'm a noob haha. Turning off the launch menu did the trick. :)
