I have the Bluetooth 8bitdo Gamepad controllers that I'm trying to use with a Retropi setup (Raspberry Pi 3B) with latest stable versions of Emulation Station, etc. Getting the controllers to work via Bluetooth in Emulation Station was a bit of a pain, as some other posters have experienced, even after updating the firmware to Version 4.

At this point I have both controllers working via Bluetooth. However, the A and B buttons are mis-mapped in NES games. For instance, in Contra, B is A and Y is B. This is after repeated attempts to map remap the buttons in the setup wizard. Interestingly, the button mapping seems to be working as expected with other emulators.

The second issue is that there is significant lag with the D pad in some games. For example, in Pro Wrestling in NES, if you try to walk quickly around your opponent for several seconds, sometimes your character keeps walking for a second or two after you release the D pad. It almost seems as though there is a backlog of commands being sent from the controller and then queued by the system. The effect is disconcerting and definitely affects gameplay. Is anyone else experiencing this? This does not seem to be an issue when the controllers are used in USB mode.
